Posted by gowenstevensadmin on Tuesday 14th May 2019

Head of Legacies at The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, Charlie Booth, explained how funds raised by the charity have helped fund the research and equipment which has improved treatments for patients at the Sutton and Chelsea hospitals.

Dr Tree specialises in treating prostate cancers and explained the progress the charity has helped bring about, with reducing treatment times for radiotherapy. The charity has helped to fund the purchase of cutting-edge equipment to improve the targeting of radiotherapy beams on the cancer, thereby avoiding unnecessarily treating healthy cells.
